Happy Monday my Deshabille readers. I didn't mean to go missing for so long, but as you know working in the fashion industry means travel, long hours and sometimes mini vacay's for peace of mind. I took a little trip to South Lake Tahoe for some R&R where I took long walks along the lake, sat in cafes and took in the last days of the warm sun against my skin. I am not certain when I will get a chance to post next, but for now I am leaving you with a snap of my most luxuriously relaxing weekend...bye for now.

Plaids are always a Fall/Winter style go-to, but what I love most about plaids is that they are a year-round trend that can be dressed up or dressed down. So shop your closet...or your boyfriends, and dig deep for your plaid shirts. To add a little luxe to your humble plaids channel your inner Rachel Zoe and add a faux fur topper to create contrast and drama to your ensemble. Are you mad for plaid this Fall season???

{animal instinct}

Looks like the lion has lost his crown as the king of the jungle, with the leopard getting all the attention this Fall season. If there is one print or pattern that never goes out of style, it is the garishly loved and constantly updated animal print. If you're wondering what your next purchase should be to help transition into Fall, I suggest you take a cue out of my "blog." I'm clearly suffering from feline fever this season as I double-dip in leopard with my trans-seasonal coat and printed calf-hair clutch, accompanied by an equally eye-catching red lip. In addition to playful animal prints I'm smitten with prim, ladylike silhouettes that create high-impact. Animal prints are a great way to energize your wardrobe.

This season I am obsessing over Electric Pink. Hot pink is the Navy Blue of Spring/Summer 2011 so all you Pink lovers rejoice! The modern way to wear Pink is intentionally simplistic. If you're not ready for a full Pink commitment try to accessorize with a pop of Pink on your lips, in a scarf or if you're ever so daring brighten up any neutral outfit with Hot Pink flats. I'm loving Belle by Sigerson Morrison hot pink suede flats. Pink about it...
