{ladies who lunch}

Any excuse to visit my favorite winery in Napa...especially when family is visiting from abroad. As a proud club member of Peju winery I arranged for a private lunch for a group of four. Upon arrival at Peju we were greeted with a welcome "wine" walking tour around the grounds and gardens, followed by a private tasting by a Peju wine ambassador in their beautiful tasting tower served with local artisan cheeses. If that wasn't enough we had a lunch experience where we joined the Chef in the Peju kitchen for a Chefs table luncheon. We experienced the flavors and aromas as our private Chef prepared and served our bountiful 3 course lunch paired with a selection of Peju wines. And the experience began...

First Course

Beet, Mache & Goat Cheese Salad with Caramelized shallot & Tarragon Vinaigrette
Served with 2009 Peju Sauvignon Blanc

Entrée

Spring Vegetable Risotto with oven roasted Poisson
Served with 2007 Merlot

To Finish

Warm banana bread w/ Panna Cotta and caramelized Banana
Served with 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon
